event – the first time in the
history of the championships. That
means it was the best performance by
Indians at this event.
The pair of Saurav Ghosal and Dipika
Pallikal won a silver medal in the
mixed doubles category.
They narrowly missed out on a Gold
medal, losing to the New Zealand
pair of Paul Coll and Joelle
King 8-11, 8-11.
The second mixed doubles pair
of Harinderpal Sandhu and Joshna
Chinappa won the Bronze medal,
reserving two places on the podium
of the mixed doubles ceremony.
Then the woman’s doubles pair of
Chinappa and Dipika Pallikal won
another bronze in the women’s
doubles category!
