Kunj Lifts U-11 Title
(Article in DNA, Mumbai :  26/2/2007)

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. The saying aptly suits Kunj Rawani from Don Bosco, Borivali, who bounced back from two games down to defeat Yohan Pandole (Cathedral and John Connon) 4-11, 10-12, 11-5, 11-4, 11-9 to lift the boys under-11 interschool title at Bombay Gymkhana.

The victory was special for Rawani as he just recovered from a fractured little finger of the left hand, which had kept him away for the past one month. ‘I just started practicing 10-days ago as I had fractured finger on my playing hand.’’ Said Rawani who had palyed and beaten Pandole before. ‘Yohan has improved his game a lot since I played against him in November. Also I was tentative in the beginning.’’ Rawani said while attributing the reasons for the initial hiccup.
