NAVIN JANGRA had mixed fortunes in the JVPG-ISP All
India School/College Individual Squash Championship, organised by the Indian
Squash Professional at the glass-backed squash courts of the Juhu Vile Parle
Gymkhana, here, on Friday.
Participating in two categories on the day, Jangra won
his U/19 title against Cyrus Vakil 6-11, 6-11, 11-1, 12-10, 11-8 in a hard
fought battle but fell in the U-17 category, Anup Sharma beating him 11-8,
11-5, 14-12 in straight sets. Friday the thirteenth nearly proved to be
unlucky for Jangra his day began by dropping the opening two sets of the U-
19 tie to Cyrus Vakil. Jangra dug deep and fought back to take the next
three that saw him enter the semi-finals. The easier U –17 category threw a
surprise when Jangra was bounced out of the draw with a single sets loss to
Anup Sharma Jangra to his credit fought back as in the, U –19 tie pushing
Sharma all the way. Sharma shut the door on a tiring Jangar to win the game
and enter the semi finals.

the JVPG –ISP All-India School/College Individual Squash Championship,
organised by the ISP by outplaying Saumya Karki 11-5, 11-6, 11-1. at the
glass-backed squash courts of the Juhu Vile Parle Gym.
